Redskins home games 2011

As much as some people would like to play that off, some of the most solid talent in the NFL has come from these rounds lately. Look at the draft alone. That is some pretty solid talent. During this slide show I will look at some of the talent the Redskins could conceivably get during the Draft.

I will start with the later round picks and move all the way up to some options for the first round pick. Currently projected as a 5th round pick, Jake Kirkpatrick of TCU was the center of a team that brought a lot of controversy this year in college football.

He is a solid offensive lineman with good size—6'3", lbs. He would make an excellent addition to an offensive line that is very weak in the middle. Other Bleacherreport. His accuracy has been questionable at times but he has also been in a system with three excellent running backs behind him. Statistically, Taylor had his best season during his senior year. His spiral is getting tighter the older he gets and he runs the 40 yard dash in 4.

Currently projected to go in the fifth to sixth round, Chinasa is a good steal in this year's rich defensive end draft. He is plenty tall at 6'5".

He would need to pack on about twenty pounds to make an ideal sized defensive end—he is currently at lbs. He runs the 40 yard dash in 4. He is also deceptive because he can bolt up off the line and drop into zone coverage. He is also pretty good at timing a pass and has long arms so he can get his hands up to deflect a pass. Hometown kid, Evan Royster grew up in Fairfax, Virginia.

That is less than 30 miles from Fedex Field where the Redskins play their home games and the Skins are no stranger to taking talented players from the school of Joe Paterno football LaVar Arrington.

Royster needs a good game against Florida to break 1, yards for the third straight season. Royster's size, 6'1" lbs, would be a welcome addition to a football team that consistently seems to be getting smaller. To put his size in perspective, he is almost a match to fan favorite, Ryan Torain. While the NFC East may not be as tough as it used to be, the Giants have some things to prove this year after losing twice to the Eagles last season and once to the lowly Cowboys.

The Eagles have quarterback Michael Vick starting in his second year their system with, so far, a long list of offensive weapons still intact. Dallas finally showed improvement last year after head coach Jason Garrett was installed and they must have hope for the coming season.

Obviously, playing these three teams in could be very difficult for Washington. Being in Year Two is a plus. I hope that Shanahan learned a lot last year that will help him improve as a coach here in this city that is so very different from Denver, Colorado. In a perfect world, by the time the coin toss of the first game has taken place, Shanahan and quarterback Donovan McNabb would have mended fences, D-lineman Albert Haynesworth would have been banished to the UFL, the Redskins would have drafted defensive tackle Marcell Dareus with the 10th overall pick in the draft and many more talented young players would have been drafted as well.

And finally, in this whimsy, our talented linebackers and pass rushers — guys like Chris Wilson, Lorenzo Alexander and Brian Orakpo — would have thrived with a prototypical nose tackle on board.

Otogwe would have had a chance to entirely memorize his new play book by training camp. Hall would have given countless interviews. There is a lockout going on and, truthfully, we have no idea how long it will be in place. McNabb will probably end up calling signals across the field from our defense when we play Minnesota in December and Dan Snyder could still be paying Haynesworth.

As a Redskins fan myself, no matter what happened in , I know that the roster is made up of a bunch of great guys that have a lot of talent. I will assume that Shanahan will bring in more. As well as new hope, there is gratitude on my part. I will not have any a. You are commenting using your WordPress.

Louis Rams. This gives the Redskins the opportunity to get a great start in the conference and possibly the division. Plaxico Burress has not alienated the Giants fan base, they simply miss him. But if Albert Haynesworth returns to D. Albert Haynesworth's return to Washington in Week 14 is the most compelling revenge game for me. He languished on the Redskins sideline last season due to a simmering feud with Mike Shanahan , and he will certainly bring his A-game in this matchup.

Given the havoc that Haynesworth is capable of wreaking when focused and motivated, this late-season battle will allow him to reestablish himself as one of the most dominant interior defenders in the game.

Cutler's return to Denver in December is going to be a weird one. By the time Chicago gets to town in Week 13, Broncos fans will resemble unwilling Scrooges as they're visited by the grim visages of QB ghosts Past, Present and Future. Jay Cutler the Ghost of Football Past will be deep into a toxic season that'll go south fast after a nasty three-game opening stretch of Atlanta, at New Orleans, and Green Bay.

Combined with the lingering questions about his mopey behavior during last season's NFC title game, Cutler's teammates will have fully turned against him. Matter of fact, they may just want to leave him in Denver and take Brady Quinn back to Chicago with them.
